I saw your post on the Blogger page....... I've been getting some interesting emails lately and I am beginning to wonder....are they spam? Is it a scam?
There suddenly seems to be a number of sites on the web that are posting as "Blog Top Sites" so-to-speak. One is: Frederik Eriksson from blogtoplist.com; another is: Roger Nilsson from topblogging.com; and a third is "John" from topblogarea.com
Don't know why, but I'm a little bit suspicious. How do I know these are legit sites? I mean, they are actual websites, but how do I know the goal isn't to get information like *passwords* (I know people who use the same password for everything), or to generate a spam list or sell your information to someone else???????
Just thought I'd ask.......I've had a blog for about a year, but I'm still learning......

Thanks SuzyQ for comment. But seems you have got 2 questions!
To know the legit get to http://www.whois.net/ and type those domains on the search filter so whois will give you all the details about the owners and other legits.
The second part of the question tells me that you're cautious over something here that will not hurt. But you can simply choose those few you know and trust.
I've built some at: ezine-act-politics-business-and-love.com and I am going to delete some links and add some more.

I submit and even have some accounts with those blog top sites without having any spam problem.
One more thing I know is that since I use their services, I should accept sending me notifications and offers. This is why they offer free services to build their lists. This is all legit.
It's better this way than some sweeps. And I have an experience here in which I've acquired several lists of 15.000 leads; though I am not using them anymore those days.
In world profit for example, they are selling leads by thousands of dollars while progressing their leads capturing software.
